Intrior dash lights I have a simple question. Are the instrument panel lights illuminated when running without the headlights on? The lighting control is located on the left of the steering wheel, a round knob, on my 2002 Z06. Also, on the panel in front of the shift lever, is the outside air temperature adjusted with the same control knob? Thanks, JIM Jim Kobe 5/16/2023 2:24:37 PM4
Oil leakage on differential I found out why, now how do you fix the problem. When it leaks it stinks. Elick Hawk 3/7/2018 2:49:35 PM0
Security system alarm help I continue to have a muted alarm after the system times out and arms (courtesy lights are out). The muted alarm is on regardless of lock or unlocked car. The muffled alarm/buzzer can be heard while driving but no security lights or other warnings are present. The muted/muffled alarm sound is in the driver dash area. The alarm will deplete the battery over 3-4 days. Dealership maintenance could not resolve issue with some relays replaced. I need ideas to pass to dealer maintenance to resolve issue. Oil leakage on differential I have a 2003 Z06 with about 16,000 miles on it. When I drive it about 100 miles I get a leakage at the differential that appears to be a blow out from the vent. Why? Why now and not before? Thanks Elick Hawk 1/3/2018 11:09:59 AM2
2001 passenger side door lock Passenger side door lock will not open or lock with either the key fob or the drivers side control.Only way to open is manually.Checked the fuse & no problem there.I think the only way to solve this is to remove the door panel & see what I can see if there isa any thing going on.Is there a simple & quick way to remove the panel?? Column Lock Bypass I have a 02 Z06 with a column lock problem. After some research, I am going to install a CLB. There seem to be two brands - one from Covettes from Houston and another from Zip Corvettes. It looks like Zip's procedure calls for removing solenoid. I would think you can remove the solenoid with either bypass eliminator module (?). If you have installed a CLB, please let me know your thoughts on removing the selonid or not and if you can remove it with either bypass kit. All tips are welcomed. I am looking forward of driving the vette again (not a daily driver). Thanks, Ed Forman Ed Forman 8/22/2010 1:01:23 PM3

Emissions Engine Check Light I own a 2004 C5 Vette with 18,000 miles and my engine check light came on. When checking the problem it indicated it is a P0410-which is a Secondary Air Induction System Malfunction. I took it over to Koons Chevy, and the fix costs around $500.. My question to GM, this car only has 18,000 miles and is garaged, why would an emissions problem occur with such low milage, and I was told this pump was clogged causing the problem. I asked why, and was told it could happen again, and the warranty was good for 36 months, or 36,000 miles. I find that emissions coverage should be better than that, as a consumer. I don't understand GM's response to that problem and what causes it. The Vette will not pass inspection without a fix for this emissions problem. Maybe GM needs to take another look at this error problem and they might consider a better design. What do you all think! Thanks. FJ Frank Johnston 5/12/2010 3:51:54 PM1
check traction control light I have a 2002 Z06 had to do a rolling jump start. Right after got waring lights for check traction control, check stability control (which I don't have) and check ABS. What is the problem here? Arthur Brenneke 2/12/2010 9:17:26 AM1
C5 -2004 Vette I have driven my 2004 since new with 17,000 miles . My headsup display lights up but the the numbers for the speed don't show up and the whole display is lit but the back ground comes up in the display. So I turned it off and on several times and maybe the fourth time I turn it on it will work properly. When I turn the kep in the off position, it will repeat the same error problem. Does anyone have a similar experience? Thanks. FJ Frank Johnston 9/23/2009 12:46:09 PM5
Check Engine Light on a '98 6 spd with non-intercooled magnacharger supercharger I have a '98 6-spd Corvette with a non-intercooled Magnacharger supercharger on it. After the installation of the supercharger in the summer of 2003, I started having the check engine light come on and when it would the car would go into reduced power mode. I thought that is was probably related to the performance improvements. However with the problem continuing to occur after having iridum spark plugs and new spark plug wires installed along with new O2 senors and knock sensors, I am not so sure it is related to the performance improvements. Attached are the codes I pulled up in my Corvette after my last check engine light event. I don't know if all of these codes resulted during the last check engine light event or if some of these had just never been cleared. 10-PCM P1221 H Throttle Position (TP) Sensor 1- 2 Correlation 28-TCS C1221 H LF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0 C1222 H LF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0 C1255 H EBTCM Internal Malfunctio...
