I have a '98 6-spd Corvette with a non-intercooled Magnacharger supercharger on it. After the installation of the supercharger in the summer of 2003, I started having the check engine light come on and when it would the car would go into reduced power mode. I thought that is was probably related to the performance improvements.
However with the problem continuing to occur after having iridum spark plugs and new spark plug wires installed along with new O2 senors and knock sensors, I am not so sure it is related to the performance improvements.
Attached are the codes I pulled up in my Corvette after my last check engine light event. I don't know if all of these codes resulted during the last check engine light event or if some of these had just never been cleared.

I believe that most of these codes are irrelevant, save the 10 PCM code of P1221. This code seems related to some warranty work that was performed in late 2000 (P1275 Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1 Circuit and P1276 APP Sensor 1 Performance -- the technician found an open circuit and replaced the APP sensor and lower panels).
I don't recall having the check engine light problem until after the supercharger installation, which was almost 2 and 1/2 years later.
There is no pattern as to when the check engine light will be triggered. It seems to happen more frequently in slow moving stop and go traffic. Although I have had it happen to me on the highway when load is placed on the car, for example going up a hill.
One other interesting thing that happens when the check engine light comes on is that it is always followed by a message on the Driver's Information Center (DIC) that says "Srvc Trct Cntrl Sys".
I will be forever indebted to whoever can help me with this problem.

I have a 2001 6-speed that I have installed: K & N Cold air intake, Corvette Am. smooth air duct, 80 mm. T. Body, Granatelli Air flow sensor, Corsa Extreme exhaust and Diablosport Program. The car runs like a "Bear" but I have the same "Check Engine warning that comes on for a couple of days and then stays off for a couple. My Corvette Mech. at the big dearlship I deal with has checked it several times and we can find nothing wrong. My guess is that we are the "benefit's" of bad alcohol in the gas. I put a bottle of "Techron Plus" every other tank-full and use the G.M. additive about every four tanks. My fear is that the crap gas might foul the fuel tank sensors, which would be a bitch to replace, but everything I can find and everybody I talk to (plenty) come to the same conclusion - that no harm is being done and I guess we'll have to live with it. I have friends that drive Roush Mustangs and Chrysler Hemis that have the same problem.
Like my brother says "just sell the damned thing a buy 6 smart cars or continue to drive the finest car made in America" (he has two Vettes that he and his wife drive daily)
