Does anyone care to comment on their satisfaction with non-Goodyear replacement rubber on their C6? My original skin's are nearing time for replacement and I'm curious as to other's sucess (or disappointment) with replacing the Goodyear's with another brand. Thank you!

I've been running Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals for over 2years. They give a nice ride, hook-up good and show very little signs of wear.... I use my vette as a daily driver and with cell phones, I don't worry about a flat tire..... I just call for a flatbed tow.

I have a C6 2006 Convertible with Firestone Run Flat Wide Oval Firehawks. Best tires I have ever had on a Corvette. Wear rating is over 300 vs. Michelin with 220. Both Goodyear and Michelin tires wear out rather quickly and the Firestone hardly show any wear. I have just over 34,000 miles.
And by the way, I do not do burn outs. Really good for your tires!!
Try Firestone and you will be happy...Ned

Robert,
I don't have a C6. I have a C5, and I just replaced my Goodyear Run Flats with the recently developed Michelin brand of run flat. So far, the Michelins are very quiet and no handling issues. The only thing I noticed is when I tried to do a burnout, the tires are so sticky that they hopped. So no more burnouts!
