Michelin Run Flast

I recently replaced the OEM Eagle run flats on my 2001 convertible with the Michelin Pilot Sport run flats. The Michelin tire provides a softer quieter ride and better treadwear. My only concern is that the front tire is 25.6" in diameter, whereas the Goodyear Eagle is 25" in diameter. Will this size difference have any negative effects?

the Tire and Rim Association of America (the bible of the tire industry) allows for a tolerance of .5" for diameter and other design criteria for P metric (passenger car tires)...in either direction. It has been determined through extensive testing that this tolerance will not affect performance. wolfdogs on 2/20/2009 4:07:17 PM
Rich, I have a 2004 coupe and recently changed over to the Michelin's run flats. No problem so far and they are great on the kidneys. The jury is still out on the low profile look compared to the goodyears, though. Ride and enjoy ricardo poco on 7/18/2008 8:23:57 PM
