I am a fun-loving collector in the Chicago area and just bought my first-ever Corvette. I have a number of cars but nothing too expensive, so I avoided the expensive models and went with a 1962 C1 that needs some work, and isn't 100% original. But at the Mecum Kissimmee auction this year, there were a lot of choices so I took the plunge.
For those of you who are experts and like sharing basic advice, any thoughts on my first five steps? I'm assuming that this is not a matching numbers car, but again, just love the Honduras Maroon color and set up. I do have a marine mechanic who works for my company and also loves to work on cars in the evening.
