My 1978 L82 four speed has an electrical problem. the turn signals work fine until I turn of tne running lights or headlights, then they stop blinking. Also, I cannot get the high beams to work and I do not hear the switch clicking when I pull back on the turn signal lever. the head lights do come up and come on fine.
I have ordered a new turn signal switch. Any other thoughts?

Begin by checking for a poor ground on one of the lights. Whenever you get a reaction form one system when another is activated it usually means a bad ground. F course you might have abad switch too with the high beam problem but I suspect the turn signal issue is related to a corroded ground connection.
