My 2005 C6 locked up. Engine would not start. Car would not function and the message said column check-column lock. Car towed to dealer, dealer diagnosed and said need a new battery. New battery installed and within a short time, the same thing happened. Car is now at dealer having column lock solenoid replaced. Please give me your thoughts and comments.

I just had that problem yesterday and the cause was the battery. I've had (4) new batteries in 44,000 miles. I've been driving the car every day for the past year and I'm still having this problem.
