Begin by testing the control head in the dash. The test procedure will tell you how to test the output voltage to the electric motors that control the blend doors. If the outputs are not correct replace the head unit. If the outputs are correct test the blend door actuator motors to see if they are responding properly to the signals. You will need a decent OBDII scanner to do this.

Yes. Using a scan tool look for codes and if none are present use the control settings in the scanner to activate the blend door motors. The blend door motors should move according to the control signal applied. If one does not move properly, perform an individual pinpoint test on it. If all motors work properly, test the control unit to see if it is properly interpreting input signals and generating correct output (control) signals. This may require individual testing of the sensors that provide the inputs to the control unit. Simple if you have the right equipment and training but nearly impossible if you don't.
