All Models 1991

As printed in For Vettes Only in October 1990.

Corvette is a prime example of the best getting better for ’91.
Coupe and convertible models both assume a rear appearance similar to the ZR-1 option. All Corvettes including those with the ZR-1 option have new side “gill” panels; wide, integrated body-color side moldings; and redesigned wheels.
The selective ride control system (RPO FX3) is now available on the convertible. Suspension changes include a new Z07 high-performance suspension option for improved ride and handling characteristics in the touring and performance modes. A new muffler system results in a slight reduction of backpressure and sweeter sound.
The ZR-1’s valet key system-gaining access to the ZR-1s full 375 horsepower performance from its 5.7L 32-valve DOHC V8-has been revised to return to the normal power mode each time the car is started.
New features on all Corvettes include an auxiliary power lead for cellular phones and other electronic devices, a power steering fluid cooler, a low oil sensor and a delayed accessory buss.
The standard engine is a 5.7L TPI V8 with a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive; a 6-speed manual transmission is a free option.
New exterior metallic colors are turquoise, steel blue and medium quasar blue. The convertible top is now available in blue.
Corvettes suggest retain price begins at $32,455.
